New Content! + Saving ForeverLand
DnD adventures + ForeverLand for Paid Subscribers
Happy Friday fantasy readers! This week I’m trying out something different. As I said last week, I need to have some paid content to ensure that my entire book isn’t released for free online before I officially publish it, but I still want to have something free every week for my readers.
Here’s what I decided to do:
I’m going to incorporate a new story into the mix - my DnD character’s backstory. This week I’ll give a quick overview of my character and jump into the backstory.
This first section is for all my free subscribers, and then when you reach the end of the new story section, the paywall is where the Saving ForeverLand chapter begins. I really hope some of you decide to stay as paid subscribers, but if not, I’m just happy to have you continue on my writing journey.
Enjoy!
Meet Mylanna Selevan
High Elf, Wizard
Mylanna was born in Silvery Moon, where she lived with her mother (Fen Selevan), father (Ninoke Selevan), and older brother (Olsof Selevan) for the first 50 years of her life.
Fen was the sister of one of the High Mages, Lady Wolf. The orcs attacked Silvery Moon, targeting Lady Wolf and her allies. Fen, Lady Wolf, and Ninoke tried to cast a spell to protect the family from the orcs, but when it couldn't hold any longer, they sacrificed themselves to save Mylanna and Olsof.
After the attack, Olsof and Mylanna parted ways. Olsof sought solace with the other elves in the High Forest, whereas Mylanna was isolated in a cave in the Sword Mountains. She remained in Wave Echo Cave for 50 years, only speaking to her neighbor/mentor, who ran the Forge of Spells.
This is where she honed her magical abilities. Occasionally she goes into Waterdeep for supplies. It was her 101st birthday when she ventured out there alone, without her mentor, but she never imagined she wouldn't return. This is where her adventure begins.
Next week, we’ll dive into the details of her story, starting with growing up in Silvery Moon.
Now for the next part of Saving ForeverLand…
